A Gaia Story

Posted on Apr 24th, 2008 by Centria : Full Moon Centria
What is Gaia?  Gaia is a fireball of consciousness, extending out in all directions beyond time, a pulsating beating awareness of what is.  Everything in the universe is Gaia.  We are.  It is.  The universe is.  Gaia is the breath of the Infinite.

What is Gaia?  Gaia is an on-line community where people gather to blog, share ideas, join and explore in pods, discuss books, form and communicate goals, post photos and meet friends.

What is Gaia?  Gaia is the energetic network of stories and ideas pouring forth, a continual stream of energy.  It is the songs, the teachings, the criss-crossing of human stories inspiring and breaking into new paradigms.  Many thoughts birthing new thoughts.  Many feelings birthing new feelings.  Many actions blossoming into new actions.  Many awakenings every day.....

What is Gaia?  Gaia is the individual from many places around the world.  The small individual life, attempting to make a difference.  The vulnerabilities, the strengths, the challenges, the thoughts, the desires....the fragmented piece of the whole writing its little stories, sharing its little triumphs and pains, attempting to connect with something larger than itself.

What really is Gaia?  Is it smaller individual separate selves meeting themselves as something much larger?  Could all the fragments of people on this website simply be the expressed larger Being of which we are?  When we meet Jane, Anna, Rachel or Mark, Thomas, Jake.....are we simply meeting those parts of ourself that we don't yet know?

When we meet and like someone, are we not meeting and liking that part of ourselves?  When we meet and are challenged, are we not being challenged by that inside of ourselves that has not yet been met with peace, equanimity and love?  Are we not all each other, unique and different and multi-faceted?

What is Gaia?  Wikipedia says:  The Gaia hypothesis is an ecological hypothesis that proposes that living and nonliving parts of the earth are a complex interacting system that can be thought of as a single organism.

The single organism of our joined small selves, pulsating and pulsating into infinity.  A mirror of what is.   A person typing in front of a computer.  A single action that resonates outward into the universe.

This is a cool view which looks at the earth from 10 billion light years away, and then zeroes in slowly until you get to the level of quarks.

I second that comment! What a rough life lesson to learn, that if you really don't like someone, you've got some work to do on yourself! It helps us put away the blame game and face our own shadow.

I love this what you've written here, especially:

Could all the fragments of people on this website simply be the expressed larger Being of which we are? When we meet Jane, Anna, Rachel or Mark, Thomas, Jake…..are we simply meeting those parts of ourself that we don't yet know?

I have experienced this on Gaia, this feeling of meeting those other parts of myself through my friends. It's very gestalt for me (in terms of wholeness, presence, etc.), and, definitely therapeutic.

I also love the video link. It blew my mind! I found the subatomic world truly fascinating.

This “story” you've written here is something truly wonderful; I think everyone on Gaia should check it out.   :)

What a lovely portrait you have painted of US.  You have captured beautifully this living piece of art.

What really stood out for me was the very thing that Aley (enlightened.thinker) about quoted.

Wonderfully nice awareness Centria and nice awareness that you witnessed.

thanks to Morning Star for linking this blog.  As I witnessed the words coming out and the fingers typing on the keyboard and reading it simultaneously I remember thinking, “Really?  Oh how interesting to view it from so many different levels.”   I liked the part that Aley and Satya and the Pixellator liked, too.  Now, to just remember it more and more….
Love you guys!  Centria

this is awesome! May I please cross post it to the God pod?
i'd also like to link it to my profile, if you don't mind, because I get a lot of newcomers in both places who could benefit.

light and peace to you, my dear friend.

Sure, Nicole!  (Now I am feeling happy….  :)  )
PS  will have to go look at the God pod and see what it's all about.  Although, considering the subject, it's probably about everything!

Wow, our promoter friend strikes again!  How did I miss this one?  Wonders never cease.

Kathy, you're a pure gem!  Powers of perception beyond the norm, in my not-so-humble opinion at this moment.

Our “promoter friend” lead you to….this?  I couldn't even find it again!  Well thank you for your kind kind words, dear Paul.  Powers of perception beyond the norm, you say?  In this very moment?   It's not just me…..it's you….it's everyone…..it's Gaia!!!  actually, seriously, what I like is that everyone holds a special separate piece of the puzzle.  You hold an awareness that I do not….as does Lisa….as does Satya…..as does everyone here.  Only by joining us all together as One (through honoring all our separate stories) will we ever discover the Truth.  Which is that we are One:  separate, yet One.  But sometimes it's painfully hard to do so.  Which is why we so desperately need each other.  To point our fingers towards the Moon which is already shining.   Love ya!  Centria

I liken the illusion of separateness to our skin bags.  What matters more is what's inside.  Although the skin bags feel pretty wonderful too.

We DO each hold a piece of the puzzle; I think mine fits well here with my friends.

Love ya right back!

Hi Siona and Jessica….thanks for the good words about this Gaia story.  It seems important to remember that we can look at things from so many angles, so many perspectives, so many awarenesses.  And yes….each of our actions are so important, and can reverberate on so many different levels.  Thank YOU!

Kathy, no idea how I missed this one…or found it now! But that's Gaia for you: a place where people connect and showcase each other! I think I found your blog as a link.

Here's another link to it, on Gaia Networking.

so poetically written, spiralling in and out as you explore Gaia.

Oh–and that film is LOVELY! Exactly how I describe the universe in meditation….You can't get away from space whether you go outward or inward!

Meenakshi…wow, a comment 11 months later!  Glad you liked it and linked it on Gaia Networking.  You are such a networking gift to this community.  You are the part of us who weaves us all together, Weaver Woman.  (of course many others are doing this as well, maybe we all are, in our own ways.)

I remember that this piece felt like it was being written through, and my job was just to put the words down.

Thank you, Paul, for enjoying it as well.  All healing is sweet indeed.  We keep returning to our heart, and healing it, and then, like Gaia, everything resonates outwards in a spiraling motion and the manifested world itself will carry that spark.  And then who knows what will happen?

Kathy,

Here I am, almost a year to the day, only just now arriving.

I saw this link on Nicole's profile and came, not knowing it would be you.  Many ideas you and I have touched on many times in many ways.  Of course, every word made total sense, at least as I understand it.  ;-p

What jumped out at me was the comment by J~E~S~S -

“that if you really don't like someone, you've got some work to do on yourself! It helps us put away the blame game and face our own shadow.”

Yes, that is the “rough life lesson” that keeps coming back upon me time after time.

Even a year later, your words continue to ring with truth.  It is “channeled” work, as you indicate in your way, in the most positive aspect of that concept.  Good job being the conduit.

In deep appreciation for your friendship -
Deb

Deb, thank you.  It's lovely when we can open to being a conduit.  I so agree with what Jessica said.  Oh don't we have so much to learn in our journey to realize the love that we are?  And why can't it be easier sometimes?   I'm glad you found this.

mike S,  there you go!  I agree with you 101%.  It has to be God!  What else would it be?   :)

Thanks for the opportunity to revisit this blog post, and the comment I left so long ago…all of it still rings true. Kathy, just think of all the opportunities you've had through Gaia since you wrote this. A trip to Amsterdam comes to mind…to live, love, and laugh!

Aren't you so right Jessica?  I've had so many lovely experiences this year; who would have even guess back here a year ago?  We could all just write lists of the wonderful opportunities we've had this past year.  And those might even be small things like going on a picnic, sitting with a friend, walking in the woods.  Lovely to still be seeing your smiling face twelve months later!

To live it!  Now isn't that the truth, XxixX?  Sometimes when folks read books they're just parroting things back.  But to know what “Gaia” is in your bones and breath and cells and muscles and speech and everywhere…now that's something else.  Blessings!

Oh Paul, where could you go?  Where could any of us go?  In the Gaia that we are, could we ever disappear?  I feel your fullness and the fullness of everyone here, even those who are “gone” or “disappear” or “die” or “move on”.  Gaia includes us all.  The shades of personality may disappear, but never the essence of what we all are.  We're here!  You're here!  I am so glad you are here.  And you can never disappear even were you to leave Gaia's warm shores and never return.   (Do you believe me?  ha ha…  so glad to see you & remember you once again!)
